Being the experts in tubing that we are, we conduct all sorts of specialist work for our customers. Depending on what your requirements are, we will employ one of several methods, including the likes of tube swaging, to produce something that falls in line brilliantly with them. Ideal for when you need distinctive tubing, the services we offer are ones you can trust.
Because of our vast knowledge on the subject of tubes, we often find clients coming to us asking about the pros and cons of the various materials in use. Titanium is one metal we are asked a lot of questions about. It is a topic we actually find quite absorbing, particularly because there is much you can discover about this substance if you are unfamiliar with it.
One of the best things about titanium is that, similar to its steel counterpart, there is a series of grades available. To give an example, ASTM comes with a plethora of standards, those being B381, B348, and B265, that relate to the recipes for those grades applied to disparate purposes. By taking a look at the specifications, you’ll soon see that a series of grades for unalloyed titanium also exist.
Additionally, for those applications demanding shape memory, you may also wish to study the characteristics of nickel titanium (NiTi). Theoretically speaking, it’s never a half and half mixture of both materials, instead being a customised blend. NiTi is typically brought in to create medical tubes that require super-elasticity, kink resistance, and a considerable level of flexibility.
At Multiform Tubes, we are highly experienced when it comes to using titanium. Using our bending and tube swaging talents, we can reshape this variety of tubing so that it can fulfil its intended purposes. We can take on all kinds of bespoke jobs and ensure quality controls are in place so finished products tick all of the right boxes.
Ours is a company that aims for the top results every time, so if you need assistance, we are the people to call.
