Tube bending and manipulation has evolved over the years thanks to the development of efficient machinery capable of achieving higher tolerances and more precise bends. Even with these developments, the process still boils down to the same four factors that have always been important: the material, machine, tooling and lubrication. If all of these are correct the tubing can be bent effectively and finished to a high standard. Continue reading

Retaining structural strength in all types of tubes
One of the greatest benefits of the manipulation process is the production of precise tubular components without taking away any of the material. As a respected name in our field, we offer economical and cost-effective tube manipulation, and we pride ourselves on being a diverse supplier. We maintain our reputation by offering our customers the best possible services and products at the right prices. Continue reading
Considering the effect expansion will have on wall thickness
The most important thing to keep in mind when considering tube expansion is that the material to allow the process to take place will come from the walls of the tubing. Naturally this will cause the thickness of the wall to shrink. It is important to calculate how much shrinkage will occur for the amount of expansion needed. This will determine how much larger the wall will need to be when starting out. Continue reading
Working with the automotive industry
The automotive industry is facing staggering demand as modern vehicular technology continues to evolve. The success of the industry is dependent on efficient processes, which is exactly what we offer with our tube manipulation services. We specialise in producing the components used in the most advanced automotive construction, as well as working with many other sectors and industries. Continue reading
Accuracy in tube bending
When it comes to tube bending, very few requirements are as important as accuracy. If the tubes are not precise there will be problems with connecting them together and there will be flaws in the finished piece. Any of these issues could lead to the products being rejected and new ones needing to be manufactured. This in turn would lead to higher costs for the manufacturer and could potentially damage their reputation. Continue reading
Focused manipulation and fabrication of tubular components
In the world of tube manipulation, there is no room for error or cutting corners. In a competitive industry we have evolved over time to become a leading name and we are widely recognised as a team that delivers precise products on schedule and within agreed budgets. We provide a comprehensive range of manipulation services and there is no job we cannot take on. Continue reading
The history of copper in the plumbing industry
Copper tubing has been used in plumbing systems for a very long time. In fact, the earliest evidence of using the material in the conveyance of water was found at Abusir, Egypt and dates back to around 2,750 B.C. The Pyramid of Sahure was built in 2480 B.C. to commemorate the death of the pharaoh. A mortuary complex was built around the main structure including the smaller Cult Pyramid and a High Temple. It is this temple where a basin with an outflow made of copper tube was found. The drainage system featured approximately 380 metres of copper pipes. Continue reading
Overcoming the challenges of different metals

Calculating the impact of expansion
The key thing to remember when it comes to tube expansion is that in order to expand the end of a tube to a larger diameter, additional material is needed. This has to come from somewhere and the end result of the process is that the wall thickness and the length will shrink to allow it. It is important to take this into account when basic tubing is being manufactured to ensure there is enough excess material to facilitate expansion and avoid creating flaws in the finished tubes. Continue reading
Reducing tubes with care and precision
A standard piece of tube can be adapted in a number of ways, including reducing or expanding the diameter at various points along the length. When this is required, it is crucial to keep the wall thickness in mind and ensure that the process doesn’t result in a flaw in the structure of the tube. Care also must be taken if the grain of the material needs to be maintained. For both of these reasons it is important to have an experienced manufacturer do the job. Continue reading
